A Non-Profit Domestic Animal Sanctuary
The Milo Foundation is an established 501(c)(3) nonprofit, no-kill organization providing an alternative for homeless pets throughout Northern California, through education, adoption services, and providing sanctuary for animals until permanent homes can be found. Founded in August of 1994. Milo houses cats, dogs, puppies and kittens - occasionally farm animals and any other domestic creatures find their way to the sanctuary.

The Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery is a community-funded, non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention of child abuse and neglect in the Spokane, Washington area. For more than 14 years, the Crisis Nursery has been a refuge for young children at risk of abuse and neglect, and a source of support for their parents.

Child's Play
Gamers & Geeks Helping Sick Kids
Child’s Play is run by the online comic Penny-Arcade. Last year gamers and geeks across the Internet raised over $250,000 in toys, games and cash for sick kids in the Seattle Children’s Hospital through a grass-roots charity called Child’s Play. For 2004, Child’s Play has grown to include five National Children’s Hospitals in San Diego, Oakland, Seattle, Washington D.C. and Houston.
